Sabina Martey

I’m Sabina and I’m from Ghana west Africa. I graduated from Nursing and Midwifery Training school  in 2015 and practiced as a midwife for almost a decade at Korle Bu teaching hospital ,37 Military hospital and Danpong specialist unit .My passion for midwifery stems from childhood when I have to care for my older siblings and cousins kids while they were away , I find so much joy and gratification in caring for families and being able to establish a meaningful relationship with them professionally.Having the opportunity to practice in two of the most biggest and busiest hospitals in Ghana provided me with valuable and lasting experience.

While at placement at Surrey during my  International Education Midwifery Bridging Program (IEMBP) in 2025-2026, I came to love the diversity and inclusion in Surrey which made me decide to practice in Surrey.I believe strongly in the value of continuity of care and the ability of clients to make an informed choice consent about their health and wellbeing.

I feel privileged to be a midwife, and to be able to provide care and empower moms  in the community of Surrey and it environs through their birth experience. ‎
